Janice Combs, mother of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, has released a public statement addressing the legal issues surrounding her son, as allegations of domestic violence and sexual misconduct continue to surface.
Speaking to Local 10 News, Janice Combs acknowledged that her son may have been dishonest about a domestic violence incident caught on video, but she firmly defended him against the more serious accusations of sexual assault.
In the statement, shared by Fort Lauderdale-based attorney Natlie G. Figgers, Combs said, “My son is not the monster they have painted him to be.” Her response comes after a Houston-based attorney revealed that he is representing 120 individuals who claim to be victims of Diddy’s alleged sexual misconduct.
Combs expressed her anguish over the public’s reaction to the unfolding events, writing, “Watching the world make jokes and laugh at my son’s life crumbling before our eyes is something I can never forget. It is truly agonizing to watch the world turn against my son so quickly and easily over lies and misconceptions, without ever hearing his side or affording him the opportunity to present his side.”
She further added that the accusations are being driven by financial motives rather than a pursuit of justice. “These lies thrown at him are motivated by those seeking a financial gain, and not justice,” she stated, defending her son’s reputation against the allegations.
As legal proceedings continue and the public awaits more information, Janice Combs’ statement highlights the personal toll the allegations have taken on the Combs family.
The legal battle involving Diddy is set to be one of the most closely watched in the entertainment industry, with developments expected in the coming months.
